Dr. Jacobs opened his Grand Island practice in 1987. Dr. Rush, a Grand Island Northwest graduate, joined him in August 2021. Together they handle your cleanings, fillings, crowns, whitening, clear aligners, extractions, and root canals in one office, and they coordinate with trusted local specialists when a case calls for one.

Yes. We recommend a child’s first visit around their first birthday or when their first tooth appears. Our kids dentistry includes cleanings, exams, sealants, fluoride treatments, and emergency care for children, and you can ask to schedule your child’s appointment close to your own.

I'm nervous about the dentist. What are my options?
Tell us before your visit. Both of our dentists hold minimal sedation certification, so we can offer oral sedation for longer appointments or for patients with dental anxiety. You take a prescribed medication about an hour before your visit and stay awake but relaxed.
Do you place dental implants?
We take a team approach. A trusted local specialist places the implant post, and Dr. Jacobs or Dr. Rush designs and places the crown, bridge, or implant-supported denture that goes on top. Read more on our dental implants page.
What if I need a treatment you don't offer?
We refer you to a trusted specialist and coordinate your care so you don’t have to start over with a stranger. Most of your dentistry, including fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canals, happens here in Grand Island.
